Great question!
I called Walt Disney World on your behalf and was told that, just like in years' past with Key to the World accounts, Guests may choose whether or not they'd like to link a credit card. The only thing you'll lose by not linking a credit card to the account is the ability to charge purchases to your room. Some Guests prefer not to add charging privileges to their Key to the World Cards and
MagicBands are no different.
