Magic Bands are such a great choice when taking a trip to Walt Disney World Resort. It is so convenient to have everything such as park tickets, room keys and charging privileges all in one place on your wrist. The introduction of
Magic Band+ makes this choice so much harder as there is so much more exciting now that you can do all of those things and interact with your environment in the parks! Thank you so much for your question on the specifics of ordering the MagicBands for your group. Let's review your options.
With our family of 5, on our vacations to Walt Disney World Resort, we are always looking for ways to save a little money so we can spend on things like snacks! On our most recent trips, my wife and I have been either reusing our older MagicBands or using MagicMobile Pass on our phones. My Girls still really love the MagicBands and we did purchase them for our 3 on our last vacation. Once you log onto your
My Disney Experience account, you can go to the screen to select your MagicBands and select MagicBands or MagicBand+ for certain members and decline a MagicBand or not select one for the others. It is not an "all or none" situation and you can customize it as you like! This should be a relatively straightforward process but sometimes things don't quite work out as they should. I did want to make sure you knew about the
MagicMobile option you have as well. This option is totally free to try and you can use it by itself or interchangeably with your MagicBands. This option turns your smart device into a MagicBand through the
My Disney Experience app. Simply log on, tap on the three horizontal lines on the bottom right and tap on Disney MagicMobile to set up. This is super easy to use while in the parks and does save a little money to spend on those snacks I mentioned earlier!
