Lightning Lane passes at
Walt Disney World!
To maximize the magic--and minimize time waiting in line--I always book Lightning Lane passes for my days in the parks. Once you've downloaded the
My Disney Experience app, you'll be able to explore all of the options it provides you--including making Lightning Lane plans!
Currently, guests who are staying at
Disney Resort hotels and other select hotels can make these purchases up to 7 days in advance of their visit; other guests may do so up to 3 days in advance. Both types may do so starting at 7:00 a.m. EST. On the day that you become eligible, open up the app and select the house icon on the bottom left of your screen; that will take you to the home page. There, you'll see your ability to purchase Multi Pass and Single Pass LL for the dates of your visit. Next, select the park where you'll be starting your day, the type of pass you'll be purchasing, then scroll down to "Continue" at the bottom. You'll be able to select those in your group who have a valid
theme park ticket at this time because that ticket makes them eligible for LL.
For both types of Lightning Lane passes, you'll see the arrival windows listed for each attraction. You can, however, modify those times if available. Plans change later? No worries, just go back into the app, select the LL that you'd like to adjust, and see if there are different times available. As guests change plans, you may find an earlier arrival window than what was available when you first purchased, so check back from time to time to see if that's the case for you.
