If I select three days now to reserve and buy my park tickets, and then decided I want to add an extra day, how do I go about doing that?

Hi Melina! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question!

I run into this debate every time I book my next Walt Disney World Resort stay. The answer is usually as many days as possible, but sometimes our schedules do not allow for that. It doesn't matter if you spend two or twelve days at the Resort, it always seems like you need that one extra day! Since park tickets are nonrefundable and nontransferable, you do want to ensure that you purchase the correct amount of tickets.

Adding on an additional day to your existing multi-day ticket is fairly simple. You will need to call the Existing Ticket line and speak to a Cast Member for assistance if you make this change before your visit. You can also visit the Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs or any of the Guest Relations windows at the parks while you are onsite. Just makes sure to add on an extra day before you enter the parks on your last day. You will not be able to modify once your tickets have all been used.

One thing to keep in mind is park reservations are required to enter any of the theme parks. Once you purchase your tickets, you need to make a park reservation for the specific dates you wish to visit a certain park. I checked the availability calendar starting on your anticipated arrival date and most days are fully available at this point and others have limited availability. I would recommend purchasing your tickets soon and locking in the parks you want to visit. If you do add on an additional day, keep in mind that a certain park may not be available for that extra day. I would recommend checking the calendar prior to making any changes.

You can also purchase the Park Hopper Option to add to your tickets. This will allow you to visit multiple parks on the same day. If a park is not available to make a reservation at, the park hopper will let you start your day in a different park, and then hop to the one you wish to visit starting at 2 PM. Park hopping is always subject to capacity, keep this in mind during your visit.

Melina, I hope you have an amazing time being part of the World's Most Magical Celebration! Be sure to check out all of the new and returning experiences to each of the four theme parks!

    See ya real soon!
