When I select the one park per day option it says DCA is unavailable on Sept 18 but with a park hopper it shows it is. I don't want to pay extra $ for a park hopper I won't be using. What can I do?

    Hey Anthony!

A very warm welcome to planDisney! Thanks for bringing your question our way!

I’m sure you’re looking forward to your visit to the Disneyland Resort. And, it sounds like you’re already aware of the requirement for making an advanced Theme Park Reservation. This reservation is required in addition to your valid admission ticket and you can make a reservation for one theme park each day of your trip. Reservations are currently being accepted through January 2022.

I’m glad you are utilizing the Availability Calendar prior to making your reservation. I always recommend that Guests check there first. The Disneyland Resort has different calendars for different ticket types including one park per day tickets, Park Hopper tickets and Magic Key Passes. Theme Park availability varies based on theme park admission type. So, Availability Calendars will not be identical. Also, availability can vary from day to day as people modify or cancel their plans. I encourage you to keep checking. In some cases, I’ve even seen same-day availability become available.

That being said, a Park Hopper ticket will allow you to hop to the other theme park after 1:00 p.m. on the day of your visit. You are not required to make an additional theme park reservation to visit the second park or hop back and forth between both parks. But, as always, theme park admission is subject to attendance availability.

Good luck and please head back to planDisney with more questions!
