Hello there Carmen,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you so much for this question. How exciting that you have a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort coming up in just a few weeks - it'll be here before you know it!
The
Disability Access Service (DAS) has recently had some helpful updates, including a narrowed focus specifically on Guests with a developmental disability like autism or similar who are unable to wait in a conventional queue for an extended period of time, I'm thrilled to see all the new resources for people of all different backgrounds to help everyone have a wonderful vacation now found on the
Accessibility Services page.
If you'd like to apply to use this service, your first step will be to schedule a pre-arrival conversation. I always recommend doing this prior to arrival so you're all set when you show up for your trip.
If you're approved for DAS, you can make your return time selections right in the My Disney Experience app on the day of your visit.
If you don't think DAS is the right fit for your situation, then you can select the relevant tab on the Accessibility Services page to see all the different resources available to help you plan your next visit. One of the most helpful pages that I've found is the
Accessing Attraction Queues page, which covers how Guests with mental or physical impairments can access attraction queues while in the theme parks.
Thanks again for your question, Carmen! I hope you have a wonderful time visit the Walt Disney World Resort.
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
