Welcome to planDisney, Liam!
It looks like you're headed to
EPCOT at the
practically perfect time because it was just announced that
Test Track will be making its much-anticipated return on July 22. The extensive refurbishment is almost complete and will bring with it new demonstrations of technology and an all-new soundtrack for Guests looking to let their hair blow in the breeze. Test rides are officially underway, and it feels like coming home to once again hear cars zipping around the track as you walk through World Discovery.
At this time, no further details have been shared regarding whether or not Test Track will be operating via a
Virtual Queue upon its return or what type of
Lightning Lane purchase will be required to bypass the standby queue. I do, however, expect that the information will be shared soon, as
the Disney Parks Blog post published on June 16 instructed Guests to keep an eye out for more updates in the 'coming weeks'. If you haven't yet, I encourage you to check out the post because it features a peek under the hood of the refurbished attraction. You'll want to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog as well as Walt Disney World's social media so that you can be one of the first to know when new information is shared.
Did you know that Guests of Disney Resort hotels have access to Walt Disney World's theme parks 30 minutes before they open to the general public each day? If Test Track is available during this time, it will be a great opportunity to enjoy the popular attraction with less wait. If it's anything like the queue for
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Guests will begin queuing well before
Early Theme Park Entry begins, so you'll want to arrive early to maximize your time!
While I was unable to provide you with the specific details you were looking for, I hope that what I did share is helpful for you, Liam. If any other questions arise once we have more information about Test Track's return, feel free to make another pit stop here at
planDisney. You've got a friend in us!
Thinking Happy Thoughts,
Lizzie
