Ahoy there, Carys and welcome back to planDisney! Seems you've been sending up flares for us recently - and for good reason, your Disney Cruise Line vacation is just a few short weeks away!
Ah, the Royal Court Royal Tea Party - a classy affair indeed. Fun fact, I used to work at a tea company, so I have spent many a day behind a good cup! While I have yet to experience this myself, I do enjoy seeing the princes and princesses afterward who have spent a whimsical teatime in an idyllic storybook setting adorned with sparkling chandeliers and fanciful icons!
In true Disney Cruise Line fashion, The Royal Tea Hostess and Royal Pastry Chef truly set the stage with stories, dances, and songs as the experience unfold - and who wouldn't delight in a very special meet-and-greet with some favorite Disney princesses?
When it comes to availability, this experience does book quickly, but it's also important to note that this special experience is designed for children ages 3 to 12 and their parents. Each child must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, 18 years of age or older. Children in attendance ages 13 to 17 will be charged the adult price, and solo adults are not eligible for this event.
But if you're in the mood for a relaxing time with a decent cuppa while on the
Disney Magic, I definitely suggest heading up to Cove Café! While you may have heard fellow Guests clamoring for their caffeine fix in the form of specialty coffees, they also have tea available for those of us more impressed by the leaf! The quiet space and laid-back atmosphere are the perfect backdrops to a bracing cup of tea if you ask me. If you're looking for a more adult twist, both Cove Café and O'Gills Pub offer tea-inspired and tea-based cocktails to take it up a notch!
Oh, and if you'd like the opportunity to meet the Princesses, your best bet would be to keep on the lookout in the "onboard fun" section for the Royal Gathering! This meeting - a separate, ticketed event - is
included in the price of your voyage, but you must have a ticket to attend. So be sure to keep an eye out for when those are released - typically around 30 days before your sailing!
I know that may feel like the glass slipper just doesn't fit, but hopefully, you can create your own royal tea party experience with what's available to adults on Disney Cruise Line! Thank you so much for your question, Carys, and if you have any others, please drop us another line here at planDisney!
Fair winds and following seas!
