I've seen that some moms recommend only TS meals for someone w/food allergies, but have DDP on upcoming trip & want to use our QS meals, too. Mom is allergic to black pepper - can the QS rests accomodate her restrictions? Love the Panel's great advice!

    Hi WendyLeigh!

Table Service meals are GREAT for people with food allergies because you can note in the reservation that there is an allergy and proactive measures can be taken before you even sit down.  With Quick Service dining, there isn't anything that lets the server know there is an allergy, so the first step is up to you to initiate the alert.  Quick Service locations are able to accommodate many guest with allergies.  Just ask to speak with the manager upon arrival and they'll accommodate you as best as they can.  They can also recommend items that do not contain the known allergen.  It also may take a few extra minutes to prep a 'special' meal if items are being modified.

You can find more information about dining at Walt Disney World with special dietary requests here.  I'd also suggest calling (407) WDW-DINE prior to your arrival so that you can make any special arrangements, or voice concerns.

    Have a magical vacation!
