I have seen posts from years past that if you stay in the studio villas w/o w/d in them that the laundry facilities are free. Is this still the case or does it vary from DVC resort? Thinking of switching from WL to WL studio. Thx again for all of your help

    Hi Rachel,

Yes, if you are staying as a guest in a studio at the Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, you may use the laundry facilities in that building free of charge.  My sister's family did several loads of laundry in the first floor laundry room there during a recent stay.

Keep in mind that if you switch from a regular room in the main lodge to a studio at the villas, you'll also be changing the type of beds that will be in your room.  Studios offer more space because they come equipped with a queen size bed and a full-size sleeper sofa.  Rooms in the main lodge have two queen size beds.  Both kind of accommodations are lovely and quite comfortable.  I suggest you opt for the room with the best price.

Let me know if you have further questions about the differences between the lodge and the villas sections of the resort.  Disney's Wilderness Lodge is my home Disney Vacation Club resort.  My family has stayed there many times and I'd be happy to answer any questions you may have about this delightful, majestic resort.

    Happy planning!
