Bright Suns, Paul!
It is nice to see that you are planning to travel to a galaxy far far away very soon. The planet of Batuu offers many different experiences that are unique to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. I recommend grabbing lunch or dinner at
Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo for a one-of-a-kind galactic meal.
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance requires you to assist The Resistance with a secret mission that may include many twists and turns including an encounter with Kylo Ren! My fellow panelist, Eean, was able to get more information on possibly
experiencing some of the attraction. She was told that you are not committed to riding the ride until you are actually on the trackless ride vehicle. So your wife might be able to experience the pre-show portion of the attraction. I suggest speaking with a Cast Member, or someone from the
Guest Experience Team in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge to find out the official policy.
There are many other experiences your wife can enjoy within
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge that don’t include motion.
Oga’s Cantina is a fun experience where you can drop in to sample local and very curious concoctions. (Tip: Make a reservation for Oga’s Cantina, it fills up very quickly). Other experiences that require reservations include
Savi’s Workshop, where you can build your own custom lightsaber. As well as
Droid Depot, where you can become the designer of a droid unit as you assemble and activate your very own!
The possibilities are endless as you explore the Planet of Batuu! Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel and please return if you have more questions as you continue to plan for your visit!
May the Force be with you.
