I have seen a 2-night package that will be available at the Galactic StarCruiser, but you stay longer? Also is there an update to when this resort will be open? I’m trying to find the best way to get reservations when it opens. Thank you!

    Welcome to planDisney, Patti!

I feel like you, me, and our fellow Star Wars fans are looking at the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser and saying, “I love you” – and it’s giving us the Han Solo style half smile back and saying, “I know.” When this innovative, immersive resort hotel concept was announced a couple of years ago, I was blown away at the idea that my family could live a Star Wars adventure during our Walt Disney World Resort vacation, and I still can’t wait for my chance to stay in a galaxy far, far away.

At this time, we’re eagerly awaiting news on when the Galactic Starcruiser will take her maiden voyage, as well as when reservations will become available. The Disney Parks Blog is your best source for news, so be sure to keep reading and follow them on social media. I also noticed that you can sign up for updates on the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser web page. Josh D’Amaro, Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, announced an expected 2021 opening late last year; you can read more about this project and other exciting attractions and experiences coming soon in this Disney Parks Blog article. (As a side note, I cannot WAIT for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. A “storytelling coaster” featuring the most fun characters and music? Yes, please!)

Patti, it does look like the Star Wars: A Galactic Starcruiser is a two-day experience. Because your time on the starcruiser is fully immersive, with experiences programmed throughout your stay and excursions to the planet of Batuu at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, I would guess additional nights can’t be added. We likely won’t know for sure until more news comes our way. However, you would be welcome to add nights to your visit by staying at another Walt Disney World Resort hotel. As a Star Wars fan, a hotel in Disney’s BoardWalk area would be perfect, with close proximity to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and its out of this world Star Wars offerings.

Thanks for stopping by with this question, Patti! I’m now dreaming of a frosty glass of blue milk and a Chewbacca sighting. As you continue to dream about your visit to the Star Wars universe, please come and see us if you have any further questions.

May the Force be with you,
    Robyn
