    I've seen lots of cute ideas for arrival gifts, but I'm looking for suggestions for my nearly 8yo son. He's just on the verge of feeling "too old" for some of the movies/characters, so finding something fun for an older child is a bit difficult.

    I feel you!  8 is an interesting age, especially for boys!  One thing my son still loves, and is really, really getting into (because he's reading the books) is Star Wars.  Disney Floral & Gifts has a great selection of Star Wars items like this Both Sides of the Force package.  The Star Tours Adventure Pack is pretty cool too!  I think my son would be thrilled to find either of those in our room!
