Hey friend,
Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for bringing your Walt Disney World planning question to us.
The Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort is such a great choice for your upcoming stay. There are so many activities available at this resort – you might even forget that there are theme parks to visit during your stay! You’ll be thoroughly entertained with
experiences from archery to wagon rides and everything in between. There is so much to do and see; I hope you’re planning an extended stay so that you can experience as much as possible.
Enchanting Extras become available for booking 60 days prior to your resort stay, so be sure to mark your calendar and book the experiences you’re most interested in early. I’d recommend the
Horse-Drawn Excursion – it’s a magical 25-minute ride through the lush pine and cypress forest where deer, rabbits, ducks and armadillos like to roam and it's sure to please your group. Some experiences don’t require an advance reservation, so be sure to research anything you’re interested in.
Unfortunately, according to the
resort rules and regulations you will not be permitted to bring any type of electric bicycle on property at Walt Disney World, even if you plan to use them without power. These types of vehicles are not allowed on property at all. While I know this isn’t the news you were hoping to hear, all hope is not lost. If you really want to ride a bike during your stay, daily rentals are available on a first-come, first-served basis. You will need to return your rental each day if you plan to use a bike on multiple days so be sure to arrive early. Helmets, training wheels and child seats are available or complimentary with bike rentals.
I hope this information is helpful. Be sure to come back with any additional planning questions you have regarding your upcoming Disney World visit. The planDisney team is happy to help. We’ll see ya real soon.
