I've never seen characters wanderning aroudn like you hear people say (like genie or other non main characters), i always only see main characters at the characters spots on the maps.. any tips to see others? do they only go certain times of day or year?

    Hi Guylaine,

You'll rarely see characters wandering around.  If you do, it's usually with another cast member who is escorting them to/from their character greeting spot.  Occasionally, you might sight a rarely seen character if there is a special photo shoot, or something like that.  In this case, the characters are not available to sign autographs or greet guests, but it's sometimes fun just seeing them.

Special events like Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party or Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party are a great place to greet characters that you might not normally see.  We did get to take a photo with Genie at the last Christmas party.  Another fun way to meet characters is to participate in one of the Run Disney events.  There are character meet and greets all along the route.  A lot of times you'll even get to take photos with groups of characters from the same movie.

Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
