I have seen articles saying you need to buy Genie+ for everyone in the group on the days you have the service. But I have also seen articles that say only the person making the reservation needs the service. I am so confused. Will have a group of 9 or 10.

    Hi Drew!

Thanks for stopping by planDisney! I'm glad to see that you are planning on using the Disney Genie Service during your trip because it's a great way to make the most of your time in the theme parks. It's wonderful to be able to utilize Lightning Lanes for the attractions and experiences on your "must-do" list so you can bypass their Standby queues!

When utilizing the Disney Genie+ Service, you will need to purchase Genie+ for everyone in your group who will be riding attractions or enjoying experiences using Lightning Lane reservations. So if all nine or ten members of your group will be enjoying attractions together, then you will need to purchase Genie+ for everyone in your group. If anyone is not interested in being included in your Lightning Lane reservations, then they will not need the Disney Genie+ Service. During my family's visit this past November, there were a few days when I chose to skip riding attractions for the day and on those days, I didn't purchase Genie+ for myself, while the rest of my family enjoyed the benefits of Genie+.

Drew, keep in mind that you have the option of purchasing the Disney Genie+ Service for your entire ticket or adding it to individual days of your ticket. If you choose to add Genie+ to individual theme park days, then you will need to purchase the service on the day of your visit using the My Disney Experience mobile app, rather than in advance. So if someone in your group is unsure about using the Disney Genie+ Service, they can always choose to purchase it on each day of your trip.

Be sure to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog as you continue planning your trip for the latest announcements about new and returning experiences you can enjoy during your visit. Also, feel free to come back to see us if we can help you with additional questions as your trip approaches! T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
