    I have seen that the Art of Animation resort has begun to take reservations for 2012. Does anyone know if it is any time in 2012 or starting after a certain date?

    Hi Rebecca,

    I, too, am very excited about the opening of Disney's newest resort.  When I stayed at Disney's Pop Century Resort last month, I passed the construction site for Disney's Art of Animation Resort several times and could see that this project is well underway! 

    I read recently that Disney's Art of Animation Resort will open in the early summer of 2012 so I imagine that reservations will not be available for dates before Memorial Day 2012.  If you wish to follow the progress of this resort as it is being constructed, I suggest you follow the Disney Parks Blog on a regular basis. There was a story on this exciting new resort just yesterday!  The Disney Parks Blog would definitely be the place where the most up-to-date progress reports will likely appear.  Also, it wouldn't hurt to get connected with a Disney-savvy travel agent who can give you the earliest possible dates for booking.

    I hope you will have the opportunity to stay at Disney's Art of Animation Resort soon!
