    Hello! I've seen the answer for this for WDW but not for Disneyland - how do I check whether or not I already have the Genie Plus service purchased for my upcoming Disneyland trip? Thanks!

    Hi there, Noah!

    In some ways, things are very similar between the Walt Disney World Resort and the Disneyland Resort. In other ways, there are important differences. So I’m glad you have come to visit us at planDisney to get the scoop on visiting Disney Parks.

    If you bought your theme park tickets directly from the Disneyland Resort website or from within the Disneyland mobile app, you should have received a ticket purchase confirmation email. That email should list the entitlements included with your ticket, including the number of days, Park Hopper privileges, and the Disney Genie+ service. The other place you may wish to check is on the “Tickets and Passes” screen of the Disneyland mobile app. If the ticket description includes “with Disney Genie+ Service,” you are all set! For example, a ticket I had a few months ago had the description “4-Day Park Hopper Ticket with Disney Genie+ Service (Ages 10+).”

    If you don’t happen to have Genie+ included already with your tickets, no worries. You may purchase Genie+ one day at a time after you have used your tickets to scan into a theme park. To book a Lightning Lane return time, each participating Guest must have already entered a theme park for the day. After your tickets have been activated for the day, make sure they are all linked in the Disneyland mobile app. Visit the Tip Board in the app and search for the attraction you wish to experience. If the available return time indicated matches your plans, tap the “LL” Lightning Lane box to proceed. Next, select the eligible tickets for which you wish to book the return time and confirm your selection. If the attraction is associated with Genie+ and you have not yet purchased that service for the selected tickets, you will be prompted to purchase it at that time. During the process of booking for Individual Lightning Lane attractions that are not included with Genie+, you will be prompted for a payment option as well. A major credit or debit card, Disney Gift Card, or Apple Pay (for Apple iPhone and iPad devices) are accepted forms of payment.
