Seems like reservations for the character christmas carol dinner at the grand never opened up? Is this correct?

Greetings, Jason, and welcome to planDisney! The holiday season is quickly approaching, which means the Disneyland Resort is about to become even more magical! I share your excitement about Mickey’s Christmas Carol Feast, and am happy to share some information that may help you book a reservation.

Jason, dining reservations don’t always open exactly 60 days in advance – the day and time can vary by location. The holiday offerings at Storytellers Cafe became available mid-morning on October 2, 2025. Reservations seem to be appearing on a rolling basis, up to 60 days in advance. Because reservations initially opened up a few weeks ago, it's possible that many of the reservations have already been taken – that may explain the limited availability you're seeing.

After clicking "Check Available Days" on the website, select your party size and choose a date range (up to 10 days). Then, select "After 4:00 p.m." for the time to see your options. At the time of writing this, I still see some dinner options available on certain dates. And remember, reservations will continue to be released for the later parts of December (likely one day at a time), so keep checking to see if there's a slot that works for you.

If there's a particular day and time you are hoping for that isn't currently available, keep checking. There's always a chance that a reservation may become available due to other Guests modifying their plans.

In case you are curious, please note that Mickey’s Christmas Carol Feast is not offered on November 27, 2025 – instead, Storytellers Cafe is hosting a Thanksgiving Day Brunch and Dinner that day.

As you are planning out your trip, I suggest checking out the dining package for A Christmas Fantasy Parade. You'll have a delicious lunch at Plaza Inn and also receive a voucher for reserved viewing of the parade. Another way to get special viewing for the parade is to join The Disneyland Resort Home for the Holidays Guided Tour. This is a two-hour experience that will take you around the park. In addition to the parade viewing, you'll get a Lightning Lane entrance for Haunted Mansion Holiday as well as sweet treats and a collectible keepsake. I always enjoy my time on the guided tours!

Jason, I'll wish upon a star that you get the reservation you were hoping for. If you think of any other questions, please reach out. We're always happy to help here at planDisney!
