It seems like park hours constantly change (i.e. right now some parks in mid April have closing hour of 6pm.) I want to make dinner reservations later, ideally, closer to 7 or 8pm to maximize park hours that seem to be extending as they get closer.

    Hi Taylor,

Welcome to planDisney! I am happy to help you plan your next Incredible adventure to the Walt Disney World Resort!

Now, let's talk about some delectable dining! I wish had more precise news, but my best recommendation sounds like it might be what you have already planned. Make those advanced dining reservations for the latest times available now and then continue to check the park hours as it gets closer to the dates of your trip. Also check the website of each restaurant to see the dining hours for each day of your visit.

One of our favorite restaurants, for example, is Be Our Guest Restaurant in Magic Kingdom. Today, dinner hours are from 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. while Magic Kingdom park hours are from 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. When I checked for April 7, dinner hours are from 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. while Magic Kingdom park hours are from 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. If park hours are not posted on the park hours calendar, double-check those park hours in the Disney Park Pass system for the days of your visit.

Remember also that you can dine at restaurants located in the resort hotels, on Disney's BoardWalk or at Disney Springs. On our most recent visit, we dined at Narcoossee's and California Grill and had gorgeous views of Magic Kingdom from both restaurants while we dined. Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera also has fantastic window views. What I love about these restaurants is that they are fairly easy to access from the theme parks on Resort Transportation. Although we walked from Magic Kingdom to Narcoossee's at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and California Grill at Disney's Contemporary Resort on our last trip, you could also take the resort monorail. From EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios, you can walk to restaurants along Disney's BoardWalk. And the Disney Skyliner makes it easy to get to Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera from EPCOT or Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Taylor, stay hopeful! Your plan is sound. We just need to get a little closer to the dates of your visit to have more certainty about the park hours!

    Magic and memories,
    Donyell
