It seems a great idea to use a prepaid visa/mastercard on our next visit in October. My question is, can we link the card to our Magic bands so that purchases can be made by several members of my party (those that we authorise to use). Many Thanks

    Hi there Helen,

I'll bet you're getting excited for your trip since October is just around the corner!  It's gonna be here before you know it, so it's great that you're getting all of your last minute details in order.

Unfortunately, the system is not set up to accept gift cards of any kind for room charging via Magic Bands. You can link any major credit card or even cash to cover the charges, but at this time, the cards must be general, bank-issued credit cards.

Here is a way you may be able to get around this:  When you place your credit card number on file to cover charges, these amounts are added to your hotel folio and the hard charge is not made until check-out.  You could place a major credit card on file to serve as the deposit, and then you can check in daily to pay the daily Magic Band charges with your Gift Card.  This way, your guests can still have the privilege of charging to the Magic Bands, but you can still use your pre-paid card to pay for these charges before they hit the credit card you've placed on file.

    Best Wishes,
