Seems you are the cruise expert of the panel! First cruise ever! I've read you can register at the Canaveral terminal as early as 10:30am. True? What time do they begin to allow you on the ship. Want to get the most of the time on board.

    Hi, Michael!

Congratulations on your first cruise ever -- you picked excellence by making it Disney Cruise Line! Yep, they call me the "Disney Cruise Mom," and I'll be happy to help you make some plans.

The Port Canaveral Terminal opens at 10:30 a.m. to receive guests on Embarkation Day, and the earliest group usually boards around 1 p.m.  However, I have been able to board as early as noon -- it really depends how quickly the crew can ready the ship after the last guests have disembarked.

You are wise to try to get on board as soon as you can.  As soon as you're on board, the vacation officially begins! In addition to getting to the port early, make sure you check in online, have all your travel documents completed and signed and comply with the luggage guidelines. You should breeze on quickly and have fun in the process.

Thanks for visiting me here on the Moms Panel, and I hope you have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
