Hi Elizabeth! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
Your question doesn't seem silly at all, but that might be because I have a LOT of experience with this! I am often convinced that my kids are the pickiest eaters on the planet and have to remind myself that I'm not alone. It is a constant battle, but Disney has done an amazing job of making it easier for parents like us as we
visit "The Most Magical Place on Earth!"
You will find burgers as an option on many menus, but not all. I recommend looking at the menus of the
Table-Service restaurants that you are eating at prior to your meal. If you don't see a burger option, you can definitely stop by a
Quick-Service dining location and take one with you! I can't tell you how many hot dogs or Mickey-shaped pretzels we have taken with us into Table-Service restaurants for our kids to eat. It has saved my sanity many, many times, and helped my husband and I enjoy our meal instead of negotiating with our
little ones as we try to convince them they have to eat more than a cube of cheese for dinner.
If you are at a restaurant that is all-you-care-to-enjoy like a buffet or family-style location, you can still bring food for your son with you, but make sure that you don't share with him off of your plate or he will be charged for the meal, too. When my family recently ate at
The Diamond Horseshoe for family-style dining, we were able to order kid-sized drinks for the kids, but since we brought food for them, they couldn't eat any of the food that my husband and I had without an extra charge.
I hope this helps with your meal-planning, Elizabeth! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
Tabitha
