I seem to remember the old town square theater showing vintage mickey movies during the day and that it was a nice place to slow down and cool down. Is this still the case? if not can you tell me what the town square theater is.

    Hi Catherine,

There are no "theaters" or "cinemas" on Main Street USA like the one you probably remember. A store front called Main Street Cinema now sells Disney themed merchandise. If I remember correctly, there is still a screen that runs Disney cartoons, but there is no seating in the shopping area. Town Square Theater, located to your right as you enter the park, is a meet and greet area for Mickey Mouse. It's also a temporary location for meeting your favorite princesses until later this year when they have a permanent home in Fantasyland.

Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
