There seem to be an inordinate amount of ECV riders, People just get off them and walk around and then get back on to "travel". Are there any proof of disability requirements to rent one?

    Hi Cheryl,

The Electronic Convenience Vehicle (ECV) is meant for guests with mobility disabilities.  This is available based on a first-come, first-served basis at the same location area as where you rent wheelchairs.  Guests must be over 18 years old to rent one, and they cannot hold more than one person.  It is assumed if you are renting one that you have a mobility issue that will not allow you to walk around the theme parks all day long.  Some people can walk just fine over short distances, but when they have ten hours on their feet in a day, they are unable to do this very well or will suffer the next day.  There is no proof you need to bring in order to rent an ECV or a wheelchair.  It is just based on the guest perceived need.
