Hello and welcome to
planDisney, Jane. Thanks for stopping by with your question.
You're right, we don't often get too many questions about the parking lots at
Walt Disney World, Jane. However, I happen to drive myself every time I go and am very familiar with how the parking lots and dropping off a Guest work. So no worries there!
When you arrive at the parking attendant booths for
EPCOT you are going to let the Cast Member helping you know that you are just dropping off a Guest. There isn't a charge for this and they will direct you on which lane to get into. You'll follow the signs and Cast Members directing traffic to the Guest drop-off area. Once you've dropped your Guest off, you'll actually have to leave the Epcot parking area. There isn't a way to circle back to the parking lot from the drop-off zone so you'll leave EPCOT altogether. Then, you'll need to circle back towards EPCOT. It's best to put it in your GPS because sometimes it's not a quick little cut-through but you'll have to get off on an exit and back on. Then you'll pull up to the same parking attendant booths that you did previously. You'll pay for parking with the Cast Member helping you.
Standard parking is around $25 per day but if you are a Walt Disney World Annual Passholder or a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel guest, you do receive complimentary theme park parking. You'll follow the signs for the parking lot area which will be a different way than you just went and be directed by a Cast Member to your parking spot.
It's going to take some time to do this, Jane. If you'd rather, you could always upgrade to the premium parking spots which is going to put you in the first few rows of the parking lot at EPCOT. Walking-wise, this isn't going to be much different for the person you are dropping off but it is going to save you a lot of time.
I hope this helps you navigate the parking lot, Jane. If you have any other questions about this, or anything else, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm here to help.
Have fun!
