Hello, I am seeking help with a 2-day itinerary at Disney World with family of four, 2 adults/2 children (boys, age 5 and 10). Dates are April 7-8, 2025. Thank you! Jenn

Hi there Jennifer, welcome to planDisney! Thank you for reaching out with your question. I’m thrilled to help you plan your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World Resort with your family! With so much to see and do, I want to make sure you have the best experience possible. Whether it’s enjoying the attractions or making unforgettable memories together, I’ll help you create a plan that maximizes fun for both your little ones and the adults. Let’s dive into the best way to spend your two days at the Most Magical Place on Earth!

For your two day Disney World trip with your family, I recommend spending the first day at Magic Kingdom and the second day at Hollywood Studios to maximize fun for your 5 and 10 year olds.

If you're staying at a Disney Resort hotel, take advantage of Early Theme Park Entry and start at Magic Kingdom on April 7 to take advantage of shorter wait times. Begin in Fantasyland with rides like Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Peter Pan’s Flight, and Dumbo before moving to Adventureland and Frontierland for Pirates of the Caribbean and Jungle Cruise. For lunch I suggest Pecos Bill or Be Our Guest. In the afternoon, explore Haunted Mansion, Tomorrowland Speedway, and Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, with Space Mountain as a thrill ride option. Wrap up the evening with dinner at The Plaza Restaurant or Casey’s Corner before watching the Happily Ever After fireworks.

On April 8, head to Hollywood Studios and start in Toy Story Land with Slinky Dog Dash, Toy Story Mania, and Alien Swirling Saucers. Then move to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge for Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and Rise of the Resistance, stopping for a Star Wars themed lunch at Docking Bay 7 or Sci-Fi Dine In Theater. In the afternoon, catch a show like Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular, ride Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, and, for thrill seekers like myself, Tower of Terror or Rock 'n' Roller Coaster. End the day with dinner at Woody’s Lunch Box or The Hollywood Brown Derby and watch the Fantasmic! nighttime show before leaving.

I hope this helps you create a magical and memorable trip for your family Jennifer! Thank you again for visiting planDisney, and we can’t wait to welcome you to the Most Magical Place on Earth. See ya real soon!
