I am seeing a ton of conflicting information about whether or not plastic TOY pirate swords, brought from home, will be we allowed aboard the ship. We are sailing from the Miami port on the Disney Magic on January 6th 2019. Are they allowed?

    Ahoy, Melissa!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Oh my goodness, hold onto your eyepatch because your high-seas adventure is just DAYS away! I'm thrilled that you and your family will be starting 2019 aboard a Disney Cruise! It will be so special to begin the new year with Captain Mickey and his crew!

Pirate Night is the best night at sea! I'm happy to help clarify any confusion regarding pirate-y props and attire! You are allowed to bring aboard a plastic toy pirate sword with you on your voyage! I just want to emphasize that the toy sword must look like a toy sword and not be realistic looking. If you see plastic toy swords while out at a store close to home, those would be A-Okay! In fact, the shops onboard will also sell pirate swords for the little buccaneers on Pirate Night, too!

If you haven't checked it out already, the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique turns into The Pirates League on Pirate Party nights! Letting your inner pirate out with a full pirate makeover by the Fairy Godmothers-in-training will make for hilarious photos and an "Arr-Mazing" time! Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a MAGICal cruise!
