Seeing old posts that say doors are not allowed to be decorated at the resorts. I’m also seeing lots of vendors that decorate doors. Can they be decorated? Many thanks.

Hey there, Kathleen, and welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by the planDisney panel with your question! It’s great to see you here brainstorming ways to take your Walt Disney World vacation to the next level. It’s clear that you are excited about your upcoming trip. I even bet your luggage is already packed!

Kathleen, unfortunately, I was unable to find a hard and fast rule about Disney Resorts Collection hotel door decorations. In my experience, I’ve never seen a resort hotel door decorated during one of my Walt Disney World Vacations. However, I have seen countless creative takes on designing resort hotel window spaces! And I must admit, those window decorations always make me smile. I love the ways that Guests take time to make their resort stay unique. My wife and I tried to do a window decoration on our first big Disney trip as a family and I’ll be the first to admit that it was a fail! I will say that it was during the holidays and the Guest decorations tend to go up a few levels during this time of year! So we were behind from the beginning. That was the long-winded way of saying: bring your decorating A-game! I suggest asking the Front Desk Cast Member when you check in what the resort rules are for door decorations. They should be able to assist you further. So go ahead and use some of that luggage space to pack your decorations! You never know what answer lies in store.

I hope this helps, Kathleen! If you have more questions, stop back by and let me know

You’ve got a friend in me,
