Hi! I would like to secure a room at D-A&A Resort in early 2014 ... and change to a vacation package when this option is available. Do you know when a 2014 package booking will be an option? How can I assure I'm securing a room in Value Season time?

    Hi, Tara!

January and most of February are usually in the Value Season, but of course that is subject to change from one year to the next. Since you are able to book a Resort reservation 499 days in advance, I'd definitely pick out your dates and get your room booked as soon as you can. Disney's Art of Animation Resort is quite popular and fills up quickly! You'll be required to make one night's deposit based on current room rates and then when next year's rates are out, you're rate would be adjusted to reflect the new rate. The rates for the following year have typically been announced by the end of August, but that has varied over the years. Since you'll have to call the Walt Disney Travel Company to book 499 days out, you'll be able to double-check with them on when next year's rates might be available as they did not know yet when I called to inquire a few days ago.

I hope that helps, Tara! Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel with your question and please stop back by if we can help with any other questions you have!

Wishing you Pixie Dusted vacation planning!
