hi... this is our second time at disney the first visit we stayed at pop century, this year we are at carribean beach, just wanted your views on the resort if any.ie..rooms,food,transport..thanks

    Hi Simon,

Thanks for stopping by with your important question. I have stayed at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort several times, the most recent being just a few months ago. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

The location of this resort is fairly centrally located which makes transportation to all four theme parks pretty equal. This resort is larger in size than Disney's Pop Century and is pretty spread out, so there are multiple bus stops throughout the resort. The only drawback to this is that you might make a couple of stops before making your way to your ultimate destination. There is also an internal bus system that can take you to different areas of the resort so you don't have to walk as much. For example, you might be in a building that is farther away from Old Port Royale (building with food and beverage and gift shop), so in this case you could take the internal bus to Old Port Royale.

You will notice that the rooms are slightly larger than those at Disney's Pop Century, but a very similar layout. If you prefer that your room be closer to Old Port Royale and the Fuentes del Morro pool (main pool with water slide), I would recommend requesting a room in Trinidad North, Jamaica or Martinique. Keep in mind that requests cannot be guaranteed and are based on availability at time of check-in.

In regards to the food, we were very pleased with the variety and options at the food court. Shutters at Old Port Royale (table service restaurant) is open for dinner only, but I have to say we didn't dine there.

May you have a wonderful stay and magical trip!
