Hello! If second seating is the only dining time that’s left, is there anyway I can change it to main dining when I get on the ship? Thanks!

    Hi, Angela!

You are in for so many fabulous meals during your Disney Cruise! The dining staff goes above and beyond to make sure every meal - whether room service, buffet, or your nightly rotational dining - is practically perfect in every way!

It sounds like you are currently assigned to the second dining time. If you prefer early dining, go to the website or Disney Cruise Line Navigator App. Under your reservation, you can request to be added to the waitlist for the early dining time. I have had cruises where I have requested a change, and my dining time is updated prior to boarding. If you still have the late dining on embarkation day, ask at Guest Services where you can chat with members of the dining team. They are usually available after 1pm to speak to guests about dining preferences. Kindly request the change, but please remember that they are arranging seatings for thousands of guests so all requests cannot be accommodated.

So, let's chat about late dining - my preferred dining time! I like not rushing back to the ship on port days (especially if I am at Disney Castaway Cay!) Late dining gives us that extra cushion of time to shower, change clothes, or even take a quick nap before heading out for the evening. My kids always liked the later dining as they were able to have a late afternoon snack of chicken tenders or ice cream without ruining their appetite for dinner. It's almost like getting an extra meal squeezed into your day! My family also likes going to the show first as it is a nice way to relax after a busy day in port or at sea.

If you are worried about your kids eating late, let your dining team know you would like your kids' meals brought out quickly. They will be happy to treat your kids like royalty and serve them promptly. They might even make a Hidden Mickey when serving the ketchup!

Whatever dining time you end up assigned to, you are sure to have delicious meals served with a bit of magic and pixie dust. And do not forget the best part of every dinner....dessert! Mickey Ice Cream bars are always available so make sure to ask for one!

Wishing you a magical sailing on your Disney Cruise. Bon Voyage!

    Cathy
