Hi, Mackenzie. Sheesh, one of those days, huh? I get it. Let’s find you some answers and get sorting out these tickets off your to-do list, so you can get back to the fun stuff - planning your trip to
The Happiest Place on Earth!
I’ll try to cover all the bases and hope that it leads you to the right spot on the website to make the change. Here we go. Start by going to
Disneyland.com and signing in to your account. If you purchased your tickets through the app or the Disneyland website, your tickets should already show up, but if you purchased them another way, you may need to link them to your account. I’d suggest linking all the tickets you purchased to your account. Don’t worry, everyone in your party will still be able to access them. To link your tickets, hover over “My Disneyland” in the top ribbon, and then click “Link Tickets.” From there, you can enter the ticket number (not the confirmation number), and you should be all set. If you're doing this in the app, just press the (☰) in the bottom right side of the screen. Click “My Tickets and Passes,” then the (+) in the upper right side of the screen. Enter the number or use your camera to scan the barcode, if there is one on your ticket.
Once you’ve ensured your tickets are linked, hover over “My Disneyland” again and go down to “Change Tickets.” From here, all of your linked tickets should be visible. Simply select the tickets you’d like to change and follow the instructions. It should be a similar process on the app once you get to the “My Tickets and Passes” section.
If at any point, this is not working, don’t hesitate to call and speak to a helpful cast member at the
ticket phone line. They should also be able to help you upgrade your tickets to a park hopper directly if the website is still not cooperating.
I noticed that you are arriving on April 30. If you’re a Star Wars fan, this is a great time to be at the parks. Did you know that the
Galaxy’s Edge timeline expansion takes effect the day before you arrive? What luck! Also, April 30 is one of the few days that
Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite takes place. This is a separate ticketed event, which means if you’re able to get tickets in addition to your normal theme park tickets, you can experience this fantastic, exclusive event from 9:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. Tickets go on sale to the general public on February 5th. Unfortunately, if you are not interested in the event, you should know that the park closes at 8:00 p.m. to accommodate the event.
Mackenzie, I hope this has cleared up the issue with upgrading your tickets. With the ability to park hop comes much more access to the magic of Disneyland Resort. I hope you have a wonderful visit and don’t hesitate to bring more of your planning questions to us at
planDisney. Have a magical day!
