Hi Vivian,
Thanks for your second question!
If you’re hoping to catch the
Christmas Fantasy Parade or the “
Believe… In Holiday Magic” fireworks show, I know a few great spots where you can sit and enjoy the entertainment. These are first-come, first-served viewing areas:
* Near “it’s a small world”
* The walkway to Fantasyland by the Matterhorn
* The lower part of Main Street, near Plaza Inn
* Outdoor seating by Jolly Holiday (note: the view may be slightly obstructed for the parade)
* The upper part of Main Street, near the train station
Keep in mind that Disneyland now has a policy stating that guests cannot reserve parade spots more than 2 hours in advance, so be sure to check the entertainment schedule and plan accordingly.
Here’s a personal tip: I like to grab dinner to-go and eat while holding my spot for the parade. That way, I don’t feel like I’ve lost park time because I'm still enjoying a meal while resting my feet. Considering the park is open from 8:00 AM to 12:00 AM, taking a 2-hour break to relax and recharge isn’t too bad!
My personal favorite spot to watch the parade is near “it’s a small world.” Not only is the area usually less crowded than Main Street, but you’ll also get to experience the
beautiful lighting ceremony there. I usually stay in that same spot afterward to enjoy the “Believe… In Holiday Magic” fireworks. As an extra treat,
“it’s a small world” Holiday often has shorter wait times after the fireworks, so you’ll be perfectly positioned to hop in line!
I hope this information is helpful, Vivian! If you have any other questions or need more planning tips, feel free to write back to me or one of my fellow planDisney panelists. We’d be happy to help.
Have a magical time!
