Hi, would be seating still available for dining at the restaurants i.e. Blue Bayou restaurant, if we do not reverse a seat?

Hiya, Kim! Welcome back to planDisney! It’s so wonderful to see you again! Can you believe your Disneyland Resort adventure is just around the riverbend in less than two months?! It feels like just yesterday you were planning in January, and now, poof—nearly here!

I'm so glad you're thinking ahead about your dining plans. You know, I'm a bit of a foodie myself, always mapping out my park days around where I’m going to savor a delicious meal! And you've set your sights on a true Disney gem: Blue Bayou Restaurant. Dining there is like stepping right into the heart of New Orleans Square, with the glow of fireflies and the gentle sounds of the Pirates of the Caribbean boats floating by. It's truly an enchanting experience that transports you to another world!

Disneyland dining reservations usually open up 60 days in advance. Now, since Blue Bayou is such a beloved spot, reservations tend to disappear faster than Cinderella's carriage at midnight! But don't you worry, Kim! Even if you haven't snagged a reservation yet, you've still got some time to make the magic happen. Here’s my best advice: Check early and check often! Guests' plans change all the time, so keep an eye on the reservations page of the website or the Disneyland mobile app. You never know when a table might magically appear!

I also have another pro tip for you, Kim! Even if a reservation doesn't pop up before your visit, you’ll be happy to know that, yes, you might still be able to "walk-up" to the magic at Blue Bayou! Many restaurants across the resort, including this popular spot, often offer mobile dine walk-up availability through the Disneyland app. On the day of your visit, you can simply open the app, search for restaurants, and join any available walk-up lists, or you can even stop by the restaurant itself and scan the QR code outside the entrance to check for openings. And here’s a little bonus tip: even if you don't see openings when you first check, I’d recommend looking again throughout the day. Things change quickly at the parks, and new spots often pop up! While mobile dine walk-up is subject to availability, of course, it's a fantastic option to keep in your back pocket.

And while you're planning your magical meals, keep in mind you'll be visiting during the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration! Get ready for a whole new array of limited-time treats and eats that will make your taste buds sing. I highly recommend taking a peek at the 70th Celebration Foodie Guide over on the Disney Parks Blog before you arrive. It's a wonderful way to discover all the delicious new offerings and add even more magic to your culinary adventures!

I'm sending you all the pixie dust for a fantastic trip and the perfect dining experience, Kim! If any other questions pop up as you’re counting down the days, please don't hesitate to visit us again here at planDisney!
