Hiya Annemarie,
Welcome to
planDisney! Such a great question! I’ve taken the Walt Disney World Resort buses many of times and I must admit that I had to look at some of my old personal photos to find an answer to your question.
Unfortunately, Annemarie there are no seat belts on the
Walt Disney World Resort buses. That said, I’ve ridden the resort buses with my infant daughter multiple times, and for the most part haven’t really missed the seat belts. During busy times such as before the park opens and after the parks close the buses can get really crowded so there were times when I had to stand while holding my daughter or I was sitting but the stop-and-go movement was a little too jerky for my liking. In those cases, I definitely missed my seatbelt but when I travelled in the middle of the day it was a lot less hectic.
If you have little ones or just would feel more comfortable with seat belts, might I recommend traveling via the
Disney Minnie Van Service? It is one of my favorite ways to travel between resort hotels and to the Theme Parks. Not only are there seatbelts, but each Minnie Van comes with the option to install two car seats (the Cast Members install them for you)! It is perfect for getting around and we always feel safer knowing our little one is secured in a car seat.
I hope this was helpful, Annemarie! Please come back and see us if you need anything else!
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
