Hi, Lisa!
I’m happy to hear you’re planning your first visit to the Disneyland Resort!
For a great sit-down breakfast at Disneyland Park, I suggest Carnation Cafe. You’ll find menu items such as huevos rancheros and classic favorites like Mickey-shaped waffles with bacon or sausage. Blue Bayou serves Cajun- and Creole-style food. It’s located inside the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction, and the gently-lit “outdoor” atmosphere is like no other dining experience in the parks! Plaza Inn is a Victorian-themed restaurant on Main Street, U.S.A. It’s also the home of one of my favorite quick-service meals, the fried chicken! In addition to the famous chicken, you'll find pot roast, pasta with your choice of sauce and a selection of desserts.
Be sure to try Flo’s V8 Café in Cars Land, which features classic American cuisine with a fresh spin. My go-to meal is one of the home-style rotisserie classics, and you must try the single-serving fruit pies. The décor is inspired by the drive-up diners along Route 66 and features a spectacular view of cars speeding by on the Radiator Springs Racers attraction! Also in Disney California Adventure Park is Carthay Circle Restaurant, my favorite fine-dining location because of the glamorous 1930s-Hollywood atmosphere and top-notch cuisine. You may want to book a World of Color dining package so you can enjoy a special meal followed by a viewing of the popular show from a prime reserved location.
Some of my other must-dos are seeing Fantasmic!, exploring Cars Land (both during the day and after dark when it is aglow with neon lights), riding Radiator Springs Racers, and experiencing the classic “it’s a small world” attraction. Please write back with any other questions you have as you continue to plan your pixie-dusted vacation, Lisa!
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
