searching for a resort with a room for a family of 5 (kids r teens), with attractions. MK or Epcot? Not 2 far from centre, convenient tramnsportation to parks. Thanks.

Hi Oded, Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel!

My teenagers prefer the Yacht Club and Beach Club the most. These Deluxe Resorts both sleep 5 (with a daybed). They are located next to each other and are connected by an amazing swimming pool that they share. There are several things that make these Resorts the top choices for my teens:

    1) Stormalong Bay. This 3-acre swimming pool complex includes a sand-bottom, lazy river, sinking sands, water slide, hot tubs, whirling waters and much more. It is by far the best pool on Disney property, and only guests of the Yacht and Beach Club can enjoy it. My teens insist on a full day of enjoying Stormalong Bay.

    2) The Boardwalk. This lively area is right across the lake from the Yacht and Beach Clubs. Teens enjoy the ESPN Club which has sports video games and more. In addition, there's nightly entertainment on the Boardwalk, and it's just plain fun to walk around and soak in the sights.

    3) Location. That sums it up. Essentially, you can walk to either Epcot or Hollywood Studios from here or you can take a relaxing boat ride to either of them. My teens love jumping on the boat & riding it to their favorite theme Park: Hollywood Studios.

You can ride the bus to the Magic Kingdom or Animal Kingdom from the Yacht and Beach Club. If you were to stay in a monorail resort, you would ride a bus to Hollywood Studios and the Animal Kingdom. My teens prefer the location of the Yacht & Beach Clubs over the monorail resorts. I think this is primarily because in the evenings, the walk around Crescent Lake (and the Boardwalk) is more exciting.

Hope this helps and that you have a wonderful vacation,
