Hi Christina!
I'm so glad you stopped by planDisney so we can chat about one of my favorite tips - booking a Fantasmic! Dining Package!
In my opinion, Fantasmic! is the best nighttime spectacular at Walt Disney World Resort. The storytelling is incredible on its own, but when you combine it with the music, characters, and show elements, you quickly realize that the Disney Imagineers have truly created something magical. The
Fantasmic! Dining Package allows you to enjoy a delicious dinner plus grab a voucher for reserved seating to the show that evening. Guests often start lining up well ahead of the start time for Fantasmic! so knowing you have a reserved seat can put your mind at ease and allow you to spend a little extra time enjoying all
Disney's Hollywood Studios offers!
Christina, I checked the listed
showtimes for Fantasmic! on 2/28 and currently, I only see one showtime - 9:30 PM. This would explain why you see "first showing" listed on the website as it's the only showing that day. There are some evenings that the park will offer two showings of Fantasmic! which is why that additional wording may be included on the dining package reservation page.
You've made an excellent choice in your restaurant selection for the dining package with
The Hollywood Brown Derby. My personal favorite on the menu is their Famous Cobb Salad. When it comes time for dessert, I know most people opt for the Grapefruit Cake, but I can't pass up the Decadent Chocolate Cake! If you have purchased the
Disney Dining Plan as part of your vacation package, you'll be happy to know that you can use your dining plan at The Hollywood Brown Derby with the Fantasmic! Dining Package. Dining here will redeem two of your Table-Service meals, but trust me when I tell you it's worth it!
While you're visiting Disney's Hollywood Studios, I'd also recommend stopping by
Walt Disney Presents. Many people walk right past this hidden gem, but I find myself drawn to this attraction which tells the story of Walt Disney himself through a collection of artifacts and even a short film! Recently, guests have even been able to say hi to Ariel from the live-action movie, The Little Mermaid, here as well!
Christina, I'm sending pixie-dusted wishes that you enjoy a magical visit to Walt Disney World Resort! Please feel free to stop by and visit us again at planDisney if there is anything else we can help you with as you prepare for your vacation!
See ya real soon,
Kristi
