I searched "cabins" because we are approaching our third year at The Ft Wilderness Cabins, and boy am I glad I did! I saw on one of your posts that you gave someone a web page that delivers grocieries at a reasonable rate to the resort, any other

Hi Mae!  Yes, indeed, my family also loves the Fort Wilderness cabins!  We enjoy the opportunity to be able to cook and eat in the cabin for some meals.  We also enjoy the grill and picnic table outside and the living area where we can sit and watch DVD's together. (Make sure you pack a few of your favorites). Many guests don't realize that other Disney resort rooms don't include a DVD player unless you are staying on the concierge club level floors.

Gardengrocer.com is the website where you can arrange to get your grocery order delivered to your cabin on the day of your arrival.  Each time we have used this service the food has been delivered and perishables put away by the time we opened the door.  We choose a delivery time that is at the approximate time for us to check in.  Garden Grocer has a large list of foods to select and also includes non food items that you might need while on vacation.  You simply make your choices, pick a delivery date and location, pay with credit card and enjoy your vacation without added stress!

Being repeat guests you most likely know all the rest!  Make sure you take time to enjoy Fort Wilderness from the pony rides, stable visits, Hoop Dee Doo, Mickey's Backyard Barbecue, Trading Posts, Chip and Dale's Campfire Singalong, marina, and swimming pools.  On the way to the marina look for the "lawnmower tree". This was an old fashioned push mower that was left behind and the tree grew around it. After a few years it all became one!  A few years ago the tree actually died but they left just enough for you to see the mower still imbedded at the bottom.  Also, don't forget to check out the Bike Barn for fun things to do. I recently rented a canoe and enjoyed an hour traveling the canals in that area. It was the most serene and beautiful experience.  You can rent bikes and fishing poles there as well.
