Hi Amanda,
I'm excited to hear that you'll get to visit "The Most Magical Place on Earth" with multiple generations of Mouseketeers! You'll love getting to experience the magic together, and will certainly make memories that you'll all cherish for years to come!
I, too, have had a family member who needed some extra assistance to be able to get around easily and enjoy our visit to the Walt Disney World Resort, and I'm happy to let you know that both
Electric Conveyance Vehicles (also called ECVs or scooters) and
wheelchairs are both available to rent at each of the theme parks, water parks, and
Disney Springs. You'll rent one by the day (or wheelchairs can be rented for multiple days at a time), and you'll simply need to make sure that you return it to the rental counter before you leave the location where you rented it. If you're heading to a different Disney location that same day, Hakuna Matata...no worries! You'll be able to show your receipt and pick up another ECV or wheelchair, pending availability, there. You won't need to pay again! Also, here's a handy dandy list of all of the
attractions sorted by their accessibility and transfer requirements. I hope that helps as you're planning your visit!
Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Amanda, and please let us know if you have any other questions as you're planning your trip. I hope that you and your family have a truly magical vacation!
Missy
