How to make Sci-Fi Diner reservations when there are four adults and one child. I currently have 2 reservations for 2 adults each. Will I be able to fit a 5 year old in?

    Welcome to planDisney, Lou!

This is such a great question. When making a dining reservation at Walt Disney World Resort, you will need to include the number of Guests for your table, even if they are young children or infants. Even the youngest Mouseketeer counts toward that location's capacity numbers, so it is important to add everyone that wishes to dine under the twinkling lights of this scrumptious spot. The number of Guests also determines the type of table secured for your party, and it may be a tight squeeze to add another member of your crew to a table for two. But Hakuna Matata, friend. I have a few recommendations for you to ensure that this is still the best trip ever for your adventure squad.

The first option would be to make a new dining reservation for all five of the Guests traveling together. This will give you the opportunity to sit together and make a few extra magical memories during your meal.  Another suggestion would be to modify one of your current reservations to include that third person. This can be done online or through your My Disney Experience app. Select the current reservation and click on the Modify option. Next to the number of Guests in the reservation will be a + and - option. Increase your party by one, and search for available times.

You can make dining reservations for Disney's Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant online on the Walt Disney World website or through the My Disney Experience app. Reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance, so you can start securing your spot now. This family favorite dining spot can fill up quickly due to its unique dining room, so I recommend making those changes to your reservations as soon as possible. Should you find that you are unable to make the changes you desire, I want to encourage you to keep checking back for availability! Travel plans change all the time, and you might be surprised to see what opens up as your travel dates get closer.

I hope your upcoming adventure is memorable and magical!
    We'll see ya real soon!
