Am I scheduling too much in 1 day (Blizzard Beach and Not So Scary Halloween Party)? The boys are 4 & 6. On our trip last year, we didn't stay for fireworks...everyone was too tired. Also if we get there @ 6:30 is that too late?

    Hi Shannon,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  What a great question!  The first year we went to Mickey's Very merry Christmas Party, we did the exact same thing, my daughter was way too tired, so we left before the fireworks.  This year, I hope you will be able to stay, because Happy HalloWishes is a fireworks display that cannot be missed!

Your idea of going to Disney's Blizzard Beach is great!  I think it is a great way to spend the day, without over planning.  Let your boys sleep in, and once they are up, casually get them ready and head out to the water park.  I find my daughter (who is 5) has had enough after a couple of hours, so when your boys are ready, head back to your Walt Disney World Resort and spend some downtime around the resort or in your room.  When you are ready head on over to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, and enjoy the SPOOKTACULAR atmosphere, let your boys Trick-Or-Treat throughout the Magic Kingdom and enjoy some attractions as well.  Make sure you plan to watch Mickey's Boo-to-You Halloween Parade, your boys will love the Spooky feel with the Disney Character's dressed up in their Halloween Costumes.

In my opinion, visiting Disney's Blizzard Beach on the day of Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is the perfect way to plan a day with young children.  You will still have enough downtime, while enjoying a Water Park during the day and a Theme Park in the evening.

I hope you have a great time on your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort Vacation Shannon.  Please let me know if you have any other questions, I would be happy to help make your "Disney Time" even more magical!
