Hi, I am scheduled to take two cruises side by side on the Disney Destiny and then on the Disney Dream. Is there anything I can do so that it is noted on my 2nd reservation. I am concerned about my port arrival time for the second cruise.

    Ahoy there, Victoria!

Welcome aboard planDisney! I have to say, your side-by-side cruises sound like a dream come true—well, technically, a Destiny followed by a Dream! That’s a voyage worthy of a double feature at the Walt Disney Theatre.

Once your sailing aboard the Destiny comes to an end, you’ll need to fully disembark with your luggage, pass through customs, and then make your way to the Dream’s terminal. Think of it like finishing the first act of a Broadway-style Disney show—curtain closes, quick set change, and then the magic starts all over again!

The good news is, Disney already keeps track of Guests booked on consecutive voyages, so you don’t need to worry about flagging this ahead of time. On your first sailing, Guest Services will provide instructions about the transition process—everything from luggage handling to where to meet on disembarkation day. If those instructions don’t appear in your stateroom by the last evening of your first sailing, just head over to Guest Services and they’ll be happy to provide them for you.

When you arrive at the Dream’s terminal, you’ll check in mostly the same way you did for your first cruise. Keep your travel documents handy in a day bag since you’ll go through security again. Generally, Guests in your situation are allowed to board early (once the ship has been cleared, of course), but it isn’t always guaranteed—so follow the instructions from the Cast Member escorting you from ship to ship and you’ll be all set.

I hope this helps you feel more at ease about your transition between ships! You’re in for twice the magic, and it will feel like two vacations wrapped up into one unforgettable journey.

Sea ya real soon as summer waves goodbye and autumn magic begins to shine,
    Dustin
