    We scheduled a the Steam Trains Tour. Our 90 year old dad uses a wheelchair. What provisions exist for wheelchair users? Does the tour and/or its guests participate in the morning Rope Drop? We'd appreciate any info you could send our way. TY!

    Hey Linda-

    Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Step into the imagination of Walt Disney and his love of trains with a choo-choo-riffic tour.

    Disney's The Magic Behind Our Steam Trains Tour gives you three hours of railroad adventure. Learn about Walt Disney’s train passion and how these fantastic iron engines work, go backstage and see the roundhouse where the trains and Walt Disney World Monorails “sleep” and ride the rails around Magic Kingdom Park.

    Because this tour begins at 7:30 a.m., participants will be learning about trains rather than experience the Magic Kingdom Welcome Show. Wheelchair and Electric Convenience Vehicle (ECV) accessibility will be available for your 90 year old father. When you arrive at the gates of Magic Kingdom Park, head to the left to a Cast Member holding a sign for tours and dining reservations. They will guide you to your tour group and be able to give you the details about wheelchairs or Electric Convenience Vehicle (ECV) for the tour.

    Disney Dad Tip: Tours are special times for you so don’t hesitate to ask questions and, when appropriate, where you may take pictures.
