Scheduled safari GG at AK. Just learned that it meets at 4:30. Will start the day with ADR at Tusker House at 8:40. Children are 4 and 1 and may need a break mid-day. Will this give us enough time to see the entire park including shows and parade?

Hi Misty! It might be hard to get a resort break in during your Animal Kingdom day since you are starting with a special reservation and ending with a great event.

Donald's breakfast at Tusker House is  one of my favorite character dining experiences and the food is wonderful on the buffet. I suggest you make a list and prioritize the attractions you will want to experience that day.  After breakfast start heading to the top ones and see how the day is going.  For sure hit the Lion King show somewhere in the mix as that is the best show on Disney property!

The Jungle Jammin parade is at 3:45 and you would need to be back close to 3:30 to find a good spot. Remember that the walk to the entrance and back is quite long.  Following the parade you will be ready for your great safari!

If heading back to the resort is just not going to work with the timing then I suggest you buy a cool drink and snack and head down the path by Flametree Barbecue.  You will see many great shaded places where you can sit and stay cool and maybe the children will rest right in the park without you needing to go back to the resort.  I know some kids can nap in strollers and others cannot but this is one of the quietest locations in the park and worth a try!
