    We are scheduled to be at the parks next week. S there no way to get an upgraded ticket to have shorter wait time in lines? Why is there a gap between fast pass discontinue and the Genie + rollout?

    Welcome to planDisney, Nicole! 

    Beginning today (October 19, 2021) Disney Genie+ is ready to help you skip the standby queues for a variety of different attractions! The brains at Walt Disney World Resort have been busy transitioning FastPass+ over to Disney Genie+, and it’s been quite a big project, but we’re glad that the transition period is over now as Genie+ has finally come out of its magic lamp! 

    You’ll be able to add Disney Genie+ on to your vacation through the Disney Genie website OR through the My Disney Experience Mobile App. When you open the app, all you need to do is hit the three line icon in the bottom righthand corner of the screen, select the “My Day” option, then select the “Get Disney Genie+ Service” prompt within the purple banner. From there you’ll be able to add Disney Genie+ on to your day for you and your party members. 

    If you have your vacation package all booked, and you’re wanting to add this service for your whole stay, I would highly recommend calling the Disney Reservation Center at (407) 939-5277. A Cast Member should be able to help you add this to your vacation package.
