Hi. I am scheduled on a Halloween on the High Seas sailing on The Wish in September. Is the pirate night the same night as the costume night or are they on two different days? This is my first Halloween cruise and I’m trying to plan my outfits. Thank you

Ahoy there, Christina! Welcome aboard planDisney! I'm so glad you're planning for your first Halloween on the High Seas itinerary this fall! I'll actually be on the one the week after, so you're beating me to the punch on this one!

The Halloween on the High Seas cruises are some of my absolute favorite itineraries - nothing against the Very Merrytime, Marvel Day at Sea, or the upcoming Pixar Day at Sea itineraries, but there's something extra special about celebrating Halloween aboard the Disney Cruise Line ships! Maybe it's the spooky tree, maybe it's the ghost stories on Funnel Vision, or maybe it's seeing everyone excited about seeing your favorite characters in their Halloween costumes!

Speaking of costumes, I'm so happy to hear you're planning outfits for your days aboard! Not to toot my own ship's horn, but my wife and I happen to be costume contest winners, we won "most Disney" with our costumes as Kristoff and Sven - so I hope you've got something awesome planned! It's a great opportunity to be able to be in-costume on a Disney vacation!

Good news, since you're on a 4-night itinerary or longer that means you'll have Pirate Night in addition to all the Halloween-themed fun! While Halloween activities and offerings are subject to change and vary by ship and itinerary, as far as I am able to confirm, you'll have plenty of opportunity to don your pirate-y best as well as your costume! Whether you plan on going full Elizabeth Swann, Calypso, or even Davy Jones on Pirate Night and something even more exciting for the Mickey’s Mouse-querade Party, it looks like you're in the clear!

Now, Halloween activities and offerings are subject to change and vary by ship and itinerary, so keep an eye on the horizon as your sailing gets nearer - oh, and be sure to download the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app to stay aware of any changes once you board!

While we're still learning more and more about the specifics of what Halloween will look like on the Disney Wish, I hope you've heard about some of the all-new experiences that have already been announced! I know I can't wait to see Minnie, Daisy, and Clarabelle as the Sanderson Sisters, that's a photo-op I'll be sure not to miss!

I hope that helps you plan for a spooky good time, Christina! I can't wait for you to climb aboard and sail off into adventure! Thank you so much for sailing my way with your question, and if you have any others as you get closer to your appointment with the undertaker...I mean...sail date, you know where to find me here at planDisney!

    Until then, I'll "remains" here...
