We are scheduled to go on first trip August 9 to August 16 watching the weather the rain and storms look horrible will we even get to enjoy wdw?

Hi, Angie! August is a very hot and rainy time in Central Florida. You never know when an unexpected rain shower will pop up, so always carry ponchos with you in your bag. I went right around the same time in August last year and it rained for a little bit every single day during our stay. No worries though! We pulled out our ponchos and kept going. Actually, the random rain showers were a blessing in disguise because it cleared out some of the crowd and the temperature cooled off a little. The only thing I do suggest is that if you or anyone in your party wears glasses, encourage them to wear contacts if at all possible. Even though I had a poncho, I had the hardest time seeing because my glasses kept fogging up and getting wet. I also suggest bringing ziplock baggies to put your electronics in. These tips also work if you want to enjoy water attractions but want to avoid getting wet.

The best thing you can do with weather is be prepared and stay optimistic.

I certainly hope that you will enjoy Walt Disney World, even in the rain! If you need anything else, please let us know and we'd be happy to help. Have a magical day!
