I have scheduled my flight to leave from Orlando at 11:45 after my 3 Day Bahamas Cruise in April 2015. Will I have enough time to make my flight or should I reschedule my flight for a later time and if so how late?

    Ahoy, Anjela!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Planning for your Disney Cruise Line vacation is so much fun, as you slowly unfold the magic for your little ones... of course this whole trip is (mostly) all about them, right?

Disembarkation day is still a day to enjoy onboard the Disney Cruise. You definitely do not want to rush out of the ship that morning. You are still on vacation and you've still got a couple of hours to enjoy onboard. You will surely want to enjoy a leisurely breakfast at your assigned restaurant that morning. This allows you to say 'see ya later' to your wonderful dining team who has been with you throughout your whole voyage.

Whenever our family travels, we usually will pick an airline departure time after 1:00pm. This allows us to enjoy the morning onboard and also allows us the appropriate travel time from the port to the airport. There is usually a line, either at the exit gangway, at the baggage claim area and/or at the US Customs counters. The ship is usually cleared for disembarkation by around 7:30 am and it could take another 30 minutes to an hour to get yourselves out of customs and to the ground transportation area. The travel time from Port Canaveral to MCO airport is about an hour, depending on traffic. The security line at the airport -- yet another line. I think 11:45 is really cutting it close and doesn't allow you enough wiggle time. I would suggest a more leisurely schedule if you are able to, and travel sometime in the early afternoon if at all available.

I hope this info helps, Anjela. Please do let us know if you need any additional insight as you plan your magical voyage. We're always happy to help!
